You are 16 year-old Tracey Fletcher. You wake up one morning to find almost everyone disappeared during the night. You never really find out why. You go to high school and form a community that over time needs to recreate more of the good parts agrarian and industrial and tribal and nomadic cultures while trying to minimize the bad.
